Refunds &
cancellations
Who to ask for your money back, and who actually has it. These are two different policies and it matters which one applies to you.
Draft. Not reviewed by a lawyer. Check it against the Consumer Act of the Philippines and your own arrangements before relying on it commercially.
1. Two policies, not one
Money moves in two separate places on this platform, and they are refunded by two different people:
- Court payments go to the venue. ReadyCourt never holds them. We are not a payment processor, an escrow, or a middleman. Your money went straight to the venue's GCash, Maya or bank account.
- Subscription fees come to ReadyCourt. Venues pay us for the software. That is the only money we ever hold.
So if you are a player asking about a court booking, the venue refunds you. If you are a venue asking about your subscription, we do.
2. If you booked a court
The venue sets the rules
Cancellation windows, whether a deposit is refundable, and what happens if you do not turn up are all set by the venue and shown on its booking page and in its terms. Read those before you pay. They vary, and we do not override them.
How to cancel
- Contact the venue directly using the details on its booking page. They can cancel your booking from their dashboard.
- Have your tracking number ready. It is the reference for your booking and the fastest way for them to find it.
- You can check the current status of a booking at any time on the tracking page.
What we can and cannot do
We cannot issue a refund for a court booking, because we never received the money. What we can do is help a venue find a booking, correct a record, or recover a tracking number if you have lost it.
If a venue is unresponsive or you believe it has acted unfairly, tell us. We cannot force a refund, but persistent complaints affect whether a venue stays on the platform.
Cancelled by the venue
If a venue cancels on you, for weather, maintenance or anything else, the money you paid is theirs to return under their own policy. Our expectation of venues on this platform is that a cancellation they cause is refunded in full or rescheduled at no cost. That is what we would enforce in a dispute.
3. If you run a venue
This is the part that applies to your subscription with us.
- Cancel any time. Your account runs to the end of the period you have already paid for. Nothing is cut off mid-month.
- Fees already paid are not refunded for the remainder of a period, except where the law requires it.
- If we cause the failure, for example an extended outage on our side that stopped you taking bookings, contact us. We will credit or refund the affected period. We would rather do that than argue about it.
- Price changes come with at least 30 days' notice. If you do not accept one, cancel before it takes effect and you pay the old rate until then.
- Your data on the way out. You can export your bookings and records before you leave, and for a reasonable period afterwards. We do not hold your data hostage against an unpaid invoice.
4. Disputes and chargebacks
Raising a chargeback with your bank against a venue does not involve us, since the payment never passed through our accounts. Your bank will deal with the venue directly.
For a dispute about your ReadyCourt subscription, please contact us before going to your bank. It is almost always faster, and we have not yet had one we could not settle by email.
5. Contact
support.readycourt@gmail.com. For a court booking, please contact your venue first. We will only be able to point you back to them.
